New wine tourism activities

For this 2021 season, the Domaine d’Astros opens its doors a little more and offers you to discover the beauty of this unique place in Provence from a different angle. Indeed, our teams have been working all winter to offer you new wine tourism tours. A brand new 9-seater vehicle in the Astros colours has just arrived at the estate, as well as a new tasting room.

You will be able to discover the richness of Astros’ nature through a 1h30 guided tour which will take you to a Templar Commandery dating from the 13th century, two majestic aqueducts and 80 hectares of vines. To conclude the visit, there is a tasting room, in the middle of nature, with a breathtaking view of the aqueducts and the Saint-Lambert Chapel. The furniture for this new tasting area was created by artists from the Javron Valley. By using stones from the estate and using traditional ironwork, they have created furniture that respects nature and is in keeping with Astros’ heritage. All this to allow you to contemplate all the beauty and richness of Astros, a magical place where Nature and Heritage are one.

Wine tourism at Astros

For 10 years now, the estate has been involved in quality wine tourism activities, and offers a calendar of fun, festive and educational activities based on the seasons, giving rhythm to the life of Astros. The off-season welcomes immersive games within the historic walls during the Nuit des Châteaux and escape games based on the legends of the estate, populated by Templars, and wine-making secrets. Spring gives way to open-air tastings, charged with the fresh scent of barely opened buds. Summer is the time to welcome artists in the idyllic setting of the Château, with a jazz concert or a performance of great classics on the violin for the Musicales en Provence, all accompanied by a glass of rosé. September invites the picking of the first apples, bursting with sunshine. The apple season lasts until mid-October with the Autumn Celebration, a costume party for young and old alike, offering various autumn-related activities.
