The Indian summer is the ideal time to fully enjoy the enchanting world of Astros, with many varied activities.

At Astros, the days follow each other but are not the same. As the seasons go by, we offer different delights to explore and share with family and friends. This is part of the Astros spirit: surrender to serenity and rediscover the freedom of childhood.

Picking apples, enjoying a gourmet break under the refreshing shade of the tall pines, taking advantage of the fresh air, running through the wild grasses, soaking up the tranquillity of the place, finding yourself, discovering the subtleties of the Côtes de Provence appellation, the sensuality of its wines, and learning the secrets of a terroir: the exceptional heritage of our vineyard will open up to you!

Indian summer programme

Astros continues to welcome epicureans and nature lovers to discover the most beautiful treasures of Provence. Various activities are available to make the most of this experience.

From 26 August to mid-October: apple picking.

Come and pick your apples in an idyllic setting on the banks of the Argens. Armed with your baskets and crates, come and enjoy a relaxing moment in the orchards of the castle. More info here.

From 13 to 16 October: The Fascinating weekend.

For this long weekend dedicated to wine tourism, here is our programme:

🏰 Thursday 13 October, Exceptional visit of Château Astros

The estate opens the doors of the Château to you again! Its history is told to you during an exceptional visit of the park as well as the discovery of the dome room and the majestic dining room of this 19th century building. The experience ends with a tasting of local wines and products.

🍷 Friday 14 October, Wine Tasting evenings

Musical atmosphere on the terrace, come and enjoy a sunny end of the day to taste our wines and local products in an ephemeral bar concept. The prices are the same, on the spot or to take away!

🚲 Saturday 15 October, Bike and wine tours

Discover the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Astros through a fun and unusual electric mountain bike route through the vineyards. Share a convivial moment around a tasting of organic Provencal wines in our cellar.

Prerequisite: sporty activity, suitable clothing, closed shoes and cycling mandatory. Helmet provided.

🌾 Sunday 16 October, The Great Escape

Templar Commandery, aqueducts, 17th century chapel… Discover enchanting places, sources of legends, through a 4×4 route of about 1h30, revealing the secrets of our land and our wine know-how. Share a convivial moment around a tasting of our organic wines in an exceptional place.

All these activities may be postponed, modified or cancelled depending on the weather conditions.

Saturday 22 October: The night of the Châteaux

Autumn Workshop – Wine & Cheese pairing:

Dive into the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation, its terroir and its specificities for a fun evening in the Templar Commandery of Château d’Astros. Discover delicious, sometimes surprising and unforgettable combinations of wine and cheese to enhance your meals! A 1h30 animation in teams: knowledge test, sharing of tasting notes, group reflection…

Share, exchange and enjoy a convivial moment around exceptional local products.

By following our paths, everyone will find this plenitude, this feeling of eternity so specific to the domain.

And who knows, perhaps you will catch a glimpse of the fleeting shadow of Augustine and the Pagnol family, at the bend in the road.
